Initiated on June 9, Samsung Electronics’ South Korea Labor Union, The National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU), announced on July 10 the strike would continue indefinitely. According to Reuters, Samsung’s public statement cited no disruption in production lines, “Samsung Electronics will ensure no disruptions occur in the production lines. The company remains committed to engaging in good faith negotiations with the union“.
This Samsung Electronics manufacturing site is also known to serve multiple other major electronics manufacturers. The labor union is specifically targeting high-end chip production.
